Who is it for?
BloodSTOP and BloodSTOP iX hemostatic gauze can be used on anyone who is bleeding—whether they are bleeding because of a minor cut or a major surgery. It is commonly used in a wide variety of settings—including home first aid kits, school athletic fields, emergency responders' kits, veterinary offices, surgery rooms, dental offices, ob/gyn offices, and battlefields.

How does it work?
When it comes into contact with blood, BloodSTOP hemostatic gauze speeds coagulation and expands to a gel that adheres to the surface and applies pressure as it seals the wound.

What are the BloodSTOP and iX differences?
LifeScience PLUS makes two hemostatic gauze products: BloodSTOP and BloodSTOP iX. They are both water-soluble hemostatic agents made from the finest completely natural cellulose. BloodSTOP hemostatic gauze is often used externally because of its cost-effectiveness; it is made of oxidized cellulose. BloodSTOP iX is used primarily internally; it is made from etherized regenerated cellulose and typically stops bleeding 80% faster than traditional methods and reduces blood loss by 60%.

About BloodSTOP™ and the Consumer
Your child comes running inside with a cut that’s bleeding profusely. You need to make it stop fast! What are you going to do? Use whatever you can nearby... a towel or if you’re lucky a bandage to cover the wound.

Stopping a wound from bleeding, even minor cuts, is very often difficult. Just about the only technique anyone other than a medical practitioner will know is to wrap the wound with something sterile and apply pressure.

Now, with the revolutionary BloodSTOP gauze, consumers and professionals have a choice. For minor cuts just put one gauze on the wound and watch the bleeding stop almost instantly. For more severe wounds use in conjunction with the traditional wound care procedure and achieve faster results.

BloodSTOP™ secret is its dual action on the wound. On contact with blood it speeds coagulation this biochemical effect accelerates the stopping of the bleeding. At the same time BloodSTOP expands and turns into a gel that adheres to the surface and applies pressure to the wound, comfortably sealing it. This dual action is what allows BloodSTOP™ to seal a wound at least twice as fast as traditional methods. On minor wounds you can often see an almost Instant result. BloodSTOP™ is safe! It is a completely natural water soluble agent made from the finest regenerated cellulose and creates a healthy environment for natural healing.
